| I have published this dream/column about the rationale/lie for the March19, 2003 illegal US invasion of Iraq in one form or another, in one publication or another on the March 19 anniversary for years. How is it possible we have allowed history to repeat itself 23 years later with the US-Israel illegal, immoral attack on Iran with the same lie and propaganda?

Anniversary of US Illegal Attack on Iraq Marked by US Illegal Attack On Iran
A square piece of yellow cake topped with chocolate icing. The cake is anemic looking. If the cake were a flower, wilted would describe its condition. I woke up the morning of March 19, 2008 and walked to the kitchen, mumbling, “Why am I dreaming of a piece of yellow cake? Why am I dreaming of a piece of yellow cake?”
Oh, yellow cake!
On the fifth anniversary of the illegal US invasion of Iraq, the singular image of a piece of yellow cake in a dream imparts insight.
A malodorous piece of yellow cake. A suitable reminder on the anniversary of the US-initiated attack on the sovereign state of Iraq and its people of the fabricated rationale of weapons of mass destruction the Bush Administration used to attack the people of Iraq. Bush claimed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein tried to buy uranium, known as yellow cake, from Niger for its nuclear program, a violation of UN sanctions against Iraq.
In February 2002, the CIA sent former US diplomat Joe Wilson to Niger to investigate the claims, but Wilson found no evidence Saddam had even attempted to buy yellow cake.
Dream Symbolism
The anemic nature of the cake in the dream indicates the claim is a lie. In my personal dream dictionary, a car with bright headlights signals pay attention. There is forward-moving energy. A car with the headlights off signals weak energy. The anemic-looking yellow cake indicates another Bush fabrication.
In dream symbolism, cake may represent sensual enjoyment. Chocolate activates endorphins, also connoting sexuality. Marking the fifth anniversary of the US attack on Iraq, Bush weirdly called war “exciting and romantic.”
Before drifting to sleep the night before, I asked for dream guidance about my next writing project. I learned years before, when my first remembered dream imparted the pivotal scene for a screenplay I was writing, the value of dream guidance for a writer. Around, the time of my dream, I had visited a photography exhibition of the fiery night in Baghdad of March 19, 2003 by photojournalist Molly Bingham. She was in Baghdad during the attack. The photographs are horrifying visual images.
On March 19, the fifth anniversary of the US attack on Iraq, Mike Malloy on his then Nova M talk radio program rebroadcast six minutes of audio from the 2003 US “shock and awe” bombardment of Baghdad. It’s six minutes of auditory hell. As the excruciating rebroadcast mercifully ended, on the fifth anniversary, G.W. Bush was still sitting in the White House, the Democrats controlled Congress, but House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi and her caucus showed no intention of pulling out of Iraq.
To drown out the horrifying sounds and smother imaginings of their consequences, I prayed aloud to nameless, faceless Iraqis, please forgive us, please forgive us, please forgive us. A hollow gesture as the US continued its murderous ways in the Middle East for oil and gas, but the prayers were salve for my soul.
As the excruciating sounds of megaton bombs exploding on Iraqi children and their parents filled the room, I noticed an unread, downloaded file from the Center for Legitimate Government on the desktop of my computer: “Oil giants are poised to move into Basra — It is thought Shell, Exxon Mobil, and dozens of others are watching closely. 24 Feb 2008 Western oil giants are poised to enter southern Iraq to tap the country’s vast reserves, despite the ongoing threat of violence, according to (England’s) Gordon Brown’s business emissary to the country. Michael Wareing, who heads the new Basra Development Commission, acknowledged there would be concerns among Iraqis about multinationals exploiting (their) natural resources….”
